Dear Parents,

Thank you for inquiring about the Crane Country Day School Tuition Assistance Program. The purpose of the program is to enhance the experience of all Crane students through the socioeconomic, multicultural, and geographic diversity of the student body.

Students are awarded tuition assistance based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Every family is required to pay some portion of the tuition. Families receiving tuition assistance are asked to reapply each year. However, once tuition assistance has been awarded, prior recipients are given preference in subsequent years. To remain eligible, the family must continue to demonstrate financial need.

In order to be considered for Tuition Assistance, you are required to submit a Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) to the Educational Testing Service (ETS).

You will be able to complete and submit this form online after November 1, 2009.  It is available in English and Spanish.

To complete and submit your PFS online go to: sss.nais.org

The information provided by SSS will allow Crane to use a uniform methodology to annually assess each family's ability to pay for education.

We cannot consider your application for tuition assistance until the following information and materials have been submitted to the Business Office at Crane Country Day School by the date outlined below.

If you are applying to Crane, the deadline to submit the PFS online is February 17, 2010.  For Current Crane families, please submilt the PFS by January 15, 2010.

Return to Crane Business Office

      1. Copy of the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS)

      3. Most recent tax returns, including all schedules, and a schedule C for business (if applicable)

The distribution of tuition assistance will be the responsibility of the Tuition Assistance Committee. These decisions will be made mid-March. Remember that your request for tuition assistance cannot be considered unless all of the information is turned in. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.

With warm regards,
