Crane conducts regular fire and earthquake drills to ensure a well-rehearsed plan in the event that such an emergency should occur. Virtually all the faculty are trained and certified in CPR and first aid. Our Disaster Preparedness Coordinator (Bob Ingersoll) can be reached at x311.

Local telephone communications are often disrupted by a large earthquake or fire. It is often easier to call out-of-state than to call across the street. For this reason, each family should choose an out-of-state friend or relative who will serve as the family communications center. Family members who are separated can make contact by calling the out-of-state contact person. Parents can also make it easier for the school to contact them by providing cellphone numbers on emergency forms. In the event of an earthquake or major disaster, your child will remain at the school until he/she is picked up by you or by someone designated on your Disaster Information Form.
