6th Grade: Competency in advanced movement skills; describing and using offensive and defensive strategies in modified game settings; achieving and maintaining a healthy fitness level; demonstration of responsible social behavior during game play; components of the human body. 7th Grade: Competency in advanced movement skills; application of basic offensive and defensive strategies in non-complex settings; achieving and maintaining a healthy fitness level; establishment of personal fitness goals; working cooperatively in a group to accomplish a set goal; the body’s muscles, bones, and organs. 8th Grade: Competency in advanced movement forms; use of offensive and defensive skills in team sports activities; more advanced game strategies; achieving and maintaining a healthy fitness level; recording personal fitness goals after initial fitness assessment; identification of muscles, bones and organs of the human body, including the heart and its functions. |
