In the Upper School, students work in departmentalized classes and pursue a stimulating curriculum in the five major subject areas of English, math, history, science and Spanish, as well as in athletics and the visual and performing arts. Each student also utilizes the computer lab and the library as integral parts of his or her academic program. Sixth GradeIn the sixth grade, Crane students take English with Ms. Althoff, math with Mr. McKenzie or Mr. Reussner, geography with Mr. Von Phul, World Cultures and Religions with Mr. McCaslin, science with Mr. Bixler or Mrs. Cohen, and Spanish with either Mrs. Elizondo or Ms. Fischer. In addition, sixth graders take art with Ms. Pincus, and physical education with Ms. Willis. Seminar and advisory classes complete their program of study. Seventh GradeIn the seventh grade, Crane students take English with Ms. Althoff or Ms. Schmidt, math with Mr. McKenzie, science with Mr. Von Phul, Western Civilization with Mr. McCaslin, and Spanish with Ms. Fischer. In addition, seventh graders take art with Ms. Pincus, video arts with Mr. Cota, and physical education with Ms. Willis. Seminar and advisory classes complete their program of study. Eighth GradeIn the eighth grade, Crane students take English with Ms. Schmidt, math with Mr. Reussner, US History with Mr. Ingersoll, science with Mr. Bixler or Mrs. Cohen, and Spanish with Ms. Elizondo. In addition, eighth graders take art with Ms. Pincus, video arts with Mr. Cota and physical education with Ms. Willis. Seminar and advisory classes complete their program of study.
