Biography

I am proud to say that I have the sole distinction of being the senior faculty/staff person at Crane Country Day School. It is hard to believe that July 2006 marks my 30th year!

I have taught First Grade and Second Grade, was Head of Lower School, and now am entering my sixteenth year as Crane’s Director of Admission. I have also been a Crane parent for the past twelve years.

I grew up in Orange County and found my way to Santa Barbara by way of attending UCSB for both my BA and my teaching credential. After graduating, I was determined to stay in this beautiful city. For seven years, my husband and I struggled to make it work, and boy are we glad we persevered!

No matter what my role has been at Crane, I have always cherished the students, parents, and especially the collegiality of my fellow faculty and staff members. It is a very special environment to be in on a daily basis; there is no place I’d rather be!
