6th Grade: Entry into Crane Digital Media and Arts program; creating and manipulating images using Adobe Photoshop and iPhoto; introduction to iMovie; location, evaluation, acquisition, organization, and presentation of materials from print and electronic media; use of computer scanner, digital camera, laser disc, DVD, and internet; keyboarding; word processing; desktop publishing; spreadsheet and database use; multi-media presentations; internet research; production of “Virtual Vacation” project and video. 7th Grade: Computers are used in the context of academic classes for research, presentation, and documentation; students access the computer lab during class time as needed;use of video production software, including iMovie and Final Cut Pro; production of “Crane Arts & News” program; individual and group projects; video documentation of school-wide events. 8th Grade: Computers are used in the context of academic classes for research, presentation, and documentation; students access the computer lab during class time as needed; use of video production software, including iMovie and Final Cut Pro; production of “Crane Arts & News” program; individual and group projects; video documentation of school-wide events. |
