Launch into Learning at Adventure Lab @ Crane
Is your little one ready for the big leap into school? Give them a joyful head start with integrated developmental play and skill-building at Adventure Lab @ Crane.
Rather than a "summer review," our program focuses on building skills and confidence in learning. Your child will work with a dedicated Learning Specialist for 50 minutes daily in an intimate, small-group setting (3–4 peers). This high-level instruction is seamlessly woven into the camp day, ensuring they gain essential skills during the day at camp.
What We Offer for Our Youngest Learners:
- Small-Group Discovery: Personalized attention tailored to your child’s developmental stage, focusing on the specific "lightbulb moments" they are ready for.
- Stress-Free Scheduling: No extra tutoring appointments or weekend workbooks! The growth happens naturally during the camp day, so your afternoons remain free for family time.
- Foundation First (Support): These sessions meet your child exactly where they are. We focus on "The Big Three":
- Pre-Literacy: Exploring letter sounds, rhyming, and the joy of storytelling.
- Number Sense: Moving beyond counting to understanding "how many" through tactile play.
- Fine Motor Strength: Building the hand muscles needed for writing through art and sensory tools.
- Curiosity Plus (Enrichment): Designed for the child who is already asking "Why?" and "How?" These sessions challenge them to think critically, solve puzzles, and expand their vocabulary through hands-on exploration.
Sign up for one, two, or all three weeks of Academic Enrichment at Adventure Lab @ Crane. We’ll help ensure your child enters their first school year with the tools, the confidence, and the "I can do it!" spirit they deserve.

The Empowered MindGrades 6–8 | Deep Reading, Precision Writing, and Executive Function Unlock the full potential of the adolescent brain in this immersive three-week workshop designed to bridge the gap between academic rigor and personal growth. Literacy & Leadership transforms the traditional summer school model into a "learning lab," where middle schoolers move beyond basic skills to master the complex art of deep reading and strategic communication. Set against the serene backdrop of the Crane campus, this program is led by expert educators in small groups, ensuring every student receives a personalized roadmap to success. The Experience
The Why: This program is specifically designed to reignite the joy of literacy by removing the pressure of grades and replacing it with the thrill of mastery. By combining Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles with high-level word study and morphology, we provide a supportive yet challenging environment where students discover not just what to learn, but how their own minds work best. Families often hear what their child needs to do (e.g., "read more," "be more organized"). This program explicitly teaches them how. By focusing on Executive Functioning (EF) and Morphology, we give them the foundational "keys" to unlock their learning |
