Application Process

The best way to learn more about Crane is to tour the campus. Individual campus tours for parents are scheduled from October through March during the school day. The tour schedule will be available in September.

Students entering Grades 4-8 may schedule a half-day class visit in their current grade level. To schedule a student visit, please complete an inquiry form. The student visit schedule will be available in September.

To access the application form, create an account on our Parent Portal. A $125 non-refundable application fee is required with all applications unless you are applying for tuition assistance.

The priority application deadline is January 31, 2025.  After the deadline, applications are accepted on a rolling basis and as space permits.

Additional documents are required with the application and can be accessed through the Parent Portal:

●      All Grades: One photo of applicant

●      All Grades: At least one Confidential Teacher Observation Form

●      Applying to First Grade: A copy of your child’s Kindergarten report card  

●      Applying to Second-Eighth Grades:  A copy of your child’s two most recent report cards and standardized test scores (if applicable)

Applicants to Kindergarten
Individual admission assessments and group observations for entering Kindergarten students take place in January and February. You will be able to schedule your child's appointment after completing the admission application. 

Applicants to First Grade-Fifth Grade 

Group observations and individual admission assessments for entering Kindergarten students take place in January and February. You will be able to schedule your child's appointment after completing the admission application. 

Applicants to Sixth-Eighth Grades

Applicants applying to sixth through eighth grades for the 2024-25 school year are not required to take an admission assessment. A writing sample is required.

Admission decisions are emailed on March 7, 2025 to families who submitted the application by the January 31, 2025 priority deadline. 

For admitted students: a signed enrollment agreement and non-refundable reservation fee is due on March 21, 2025.
